Slovenia

Despite the small size of the enchanting country next door to us, it is extremely diverse in terms of attractions. It is called “miniature Europe”, as everything can be find here, almost at your fingertips: snow-capped peaks, rapid rivers, charming lakes, Mediterranean coastal towns, sloped wine regions. Europe’s greenest country is an idyllic boutique destination for incentive groups.

  • Easily accessible by bus, the country it is an ideal destination for a weekend conference or short team building.
  • Slovenia’s attractions are very diverse: the fairytale Lake Bled in the north, Bohinj and Sava rivers, the picturesque Julian Alps in the west, the Postojna stalactite cave in the south, the famous Lipizzaner stud, the Predjama castle carved into rock, the beaches, and Ljubljana, the Mediterranean-style capital in the heart of the country amazes the traveler.
  • Thanks to its diverse geography, it offers colorful activities and sports in both winter and summer.
  • Portoroz, Piran, Izola and Koper offer good hotels and plenty of entertainment on the 46 km long Mediterranean-inspired Slovenian coastline.
  • Gastronomy in the wine region, Podravje, Rosavje and Primorska offer unique experiences.
  • Slovenia’s colorful gastro-palette includes the highest category of restaurants, with a total of 6 Michelin-starred restaurants in the country. Hiša Franko is in Soca Valley lead by the two-starred chef Ana Roš.
  • You can even take a boat from the coast to Venice, composing a two-country program.

Recommended travel period: spring is scenic in the lowlands, and the mountains can still be snow-capped. Summer is ideal for both the mountains and the beach. From December to March, it is a paradise for winter sports lovers. Rainy months: May, June, October, and November.

Driving time from Budapest to Ljubljana: approximately 460 km – 6,5 hours; the beach is approximately 600 km from Budapest (approx. 8,5 hours by bus).

Visa: not required for Hungarian citizens. A valid passport or ID card valid for 6 months is required for entry.

Mandatory vaccination: none.

The incentive program can be compiled “á la carte” from the below mentioned activities, according to the requirements of the group. The offered programs are only an insight of Slovenia’s countless experiences and can be expanded and changed as wish.
Excursion to Bohinj
Lake Bohinj is located at the foot of the largest Slovenian glacier, Triglav Mountain, in the Julian Alps. During the visit beautiful landscapes, a medieval church, the Sava Waterfalls (Slap Savica) and a local cheese farm can be seen.

Excursion to Bled
Charming Bled is also known as the pearl of the Alps. The enchanted little island and church in the middle of the emerald-colored Lake Bled, with the background of the 19th century castle is a stunning sight. Visiting the island with typical local boats (“pletna”).

Picnic at sea
During the boat trip the pearls of the Slovenian coast can be seen: Portoroz, Piran, old salt distilleries, shellfish farming. Tasting delicious grilled fish on board is the part of the program.

Summer team building activities
Underground adventures and trekking in Postojna Cave, mountain adventures in Jezerskó, rafting on Soca River, unusual Olympics Games, sea treasure hunting by boat, medieval games, pirate games, adrenaline park, sailing regatta, hot air ballooning, cooking, bike tours, hang gliding, paragliding, golf, horse riding.

Winter team building activities
Snow rafting, sledding, husky adventures, igloo village, bar and restaurant at Kravec Ski Resort, Winter Olympics, winter mountain bike tour, games on ice, night adventure in special snowshoes, winter diving.
